In a stroke of genius, I prepared an attachment of my Lit paper proposal and saved it as a draft in my email. I'd been (not so) furiously working on it at work, and wanted to continue at home, hoping to finish by class-time. Came home, opened draft folder. An empty draft was there, and no attachment. I should have just sent it to myself instead. But now I've accepted the fact that I'll be turning it in late, and that surprisingly takes a lot of the pressure off. Ideas are flowing freer now. I must just have a thing with deadlines. I think if it weren't for deadlines, I might be a lot more productive. (Also, if it weren't for laziness.)
Now it's off to leisurely continue Vanity Fair, not for academic pursuits, but for my own pleasure. (I'd thank the cat not to wave her tail under my nose in the meantime.)
